User Guide > Working with objects and properties > Rename an object When you add an object to the project in Autoplay Menu Designer, the object is listed in the Project panel, with a number at the end of the object's type; for example, Rectangle1 or Button1. When you have multiple objects of the same type in the same project, it can be hard to distinguish each object from others of the same type, unless you give each object a unique name. Additionally, if you plan to reference the object, the object needs to be renamed. To rename an object 1. Select an object by using the Project panel or the Artboard. 2. Enter the new name at the top of the Properties panel. Note : You can use only an alphanumeric, space and underscore symbols for the name of an object.
